Energy Assessors (Southern) Ltd is a Gosport based company providing home sellers, estate agents and solicitors with some of the first Energy Performance Certificates.

These Energy Performance Certificates, designed to give homebuyers better information on a Property's energy efficiency before they put in an offer, are commissioned by an estate agent to go into the sellers Home Information Pack(HIP). HIPs became mandatory in England and Wales on 14th December 2007 for all properties marketed for sale.

Only fully qualified professionals registered as Domestic energy assessors with an approved certification scheme are allowed to carry out EPC's( Energy performance Certificates ).

As part of the Government's commitment to improve consumer protection and the quality of service provided to home sellers, it has introduced the new career of Domestic Energy Assessors. Every Energy Assessor has to go trough a range of background checks, including Criminal Records Bureau, DVLA, Financial identity and qualification checks, before then being accepted as a member of an official certification scheme. This puts DEA's under a strict quality monitoring regime looking at the standards of service and accuracy and reliability of reports being produced.
